This was my second final piece of stage 2 Visual Arts.

There's...a lot in there. Lots of different media, lots of different techniques, just a bunch of junk really.

Artist Statement for Exhibition:
Looking through my favourite art works, I noticed a pattern; my favourite art works are generally very colourful and often involve tattoos and body art. With this in mind, I decided to do a painting, using tattoos as inspiration. I used tea to stain the canvas and then threw ink on it to give it a splotchy effect. On top of this, I painted a shoulder, on which I layered maps. These maps are like tattoos, snaking off of the body they are drawn on to - this represents travel and emancipation. On top of the body, many images were drawn and painted on, each represents something important to me, following a general theme. A vast variety of media was used to create Body Imaging, each used to contrast and complement each other.
